Android 12 is not a simple adjustment to friends previous, but it offers a completely new interface which has many new features and here's everything we know about the new features in Android Android 12
Google has announced a new material design language for Android 12, called Material You, which is a rethinking of the entire user interface across the operating system.
Material You
Material You is one of the biggest changes to Android 12 and Material You is the next iteration of multi-dimensional design. This design language will not be limited to Android and will appear across a variety of Google services but for Android this is one of the biggest visual fixes the operating system has seen in several years. There's a great deal of focus on color and customization, allowing users to choose their own color swatches, contrast, item sizes, font width, and more.
The current beta brings more rounded buttons, more diverse colors, smoother motion and animation, and much more.
The company calls it color extraction, where you can choose a background and the system will automatically apply the dominant, free and best-looking colors from it to the rest of the user interface, including the shadow of notifications, lock screen and volume controls.
Gadgets are also undergoing a redesign, as they look more rounded this time around. Given the presentation of iOS 14 widgets last year, it made sense that Android 12 would see a redesign in this area as well, as its appearance would match the color extraction you chose.
The Quick Settings panel has also undergone an overhaul, with Google Pay and smart home controls added to it.
Privacy and security
This year Google has made a point of making sure that privacy is the focus of Android 12
The new privacy dashboard gives you a comprehensive view of apps that use phone location, camera, contacts and more.
However, a nice touch here is a simple overview in the form of a pie chart, of what has been accessed by apps over the past 24 hours.
The Notification Center also has quick access to disable any of the phone features the app uses. For example, if Facebook uses your microphone while using another application, you'll see this section of the Notification Center explicitly stated that Facebook uses the microphone. Pressing this will disable its use on Facebook and other apps if you wish.
In addition, Android 12 will also ask you for permission from an app to use a feature in the phone. You can select allow it while running the app, only once, or not allow it at all.
With features like Live Caption, And Now Play and Smart Reply, All the image processing operations and on your device, so no data is sent anywhere else.
There are also locked folders, available via applications, which allow you to lock a specific folder with a fingerprint.
Finally, when using an app like the camera, there will be a subtle hint to the user interface that some camera features are being used, similar to the way they appear in Apple's iOS 14.
Improved battery life
Google said that Android 12 also makes your device faster and more responsive and Google said that it reduces the CPU time needed for basic system services by up to 22% and reduces the use of large cores by the system server by up to 15%, all of which also means improving battery life.
Manage and update applications from external stores
Confirmed Google also it will help for Android 12 to be more accommodating to follow the external application installers such as Amazon App Store, and APKUpdater and Samsung Galaxy Apps
Currently, third-party app stores require direct user permissions to manage and update apps on their platform, but it seems that this change will allow third-party stores to manage and update apps directly.
